MICROSOFT CERTIFIED APPLICATION SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION

 

Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) certification, the premier Microsoft desktop certification, is the globally recognized standard for demonstrating desktop skills. Microsoft Certification remains one of the most effective ways to reach long - term career goals and is a sure fire way for companies to hire, develop and retain quality Information Technology (IT) staff. Microsoft certifications represent a rich varied spectrum of job roles and responsibilities. Earning a specific credential provides objective validation of the ability to successfully perform critical IT functions. Successful completion of this course entitles the student to a Moore Solutions Software Learning Centers certificate. These courses are designed to prepare you for the MCAS industry exam which is an additional charge.

Microsoft Word 2007:  Learn to create, edit, enhance, and share impressive looking documents for your business. Master formatting text, characters, paragraphs, creating and working with tables and basic visual effects, creating and managing lists, customizing tables, charts, styles, using and modifying pictures and performing mail merges. Includes two (2) Microsoft approved and required textbooks.

Microsoft Excel 2007:  Learn to work with an Excel workbook.  You will format text, insert, delete, search, modify and format worksheets, perform calculations, formulas and functions, develop a large workbook and customize the layout. This course also covers charts, graphics, tables, lists, sort/filter, macros, internet links, data analysis, and pivot tables and charts. Includes two (2) Microsoft approved and required textbooks.

Microsoft Access 2007:  Learn to examine the basic database concepts.  In this class you will plan, design, build and manage a new database.  You will understand relational tables, determine fields, sort records, create parameter and action queries, design a form layout, create a subform, restrict data entry, organize, design and format reports. Students will also import and export data sharing information with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Includes two (2) Microsoft approved and required textbooks.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2007:  Learn to create, revise and deliver PowerPoint presentations.  Students will learn to create dynamic and visually appealing presentations, add and format text, modify graphic objects on slides, modify design templates and insert embedded tables from Microsoft Word and charts from Microsoft Excel.  This course will also teach you to set-up a slide master, customize slide master layouts, work with themes, create component animation and slide transitions, create diagrams, add multimedia elements, and deliver exciting presentations. Includes two (2) Microsoft approved and required textbooks.
