MOTORCYCLE SAFETY COURSES
Approved by the FL Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.





BASIC RIDER COURSE
Students must be at least 15 ˝ years of age, have a valid driver’s license, or a valid learner’s permit. Includes classroom instruction, riding and street skills. Motorcycles and helmets are furnished. Required by FL law for applicants to become licensed to operate a motorcycle. Classes are offered throughout the year on a certified training range and sponsored by Martin County Community Education.
Class Dates: Aug 12, Sept 9, Sept 16, Sept 23, Sept 30, Oct 7, Oct 14, Oct 21, Oct 28, Nov 4, Nov 11, Nov 18, Dec 2, Dec 9, Dec 16
**Please note if a class is full, you will be placed in the next available motorcycle class. The Community Education office will contact you requesting driver's license information in order to finalize your registration. All three classes must be completed in the same week.
Class Times: Thur. 6:00-9:00 pm, Sat. and Sun. 7:30 am - 4 pm (class times may vary)

EXPERIENCED RIDER COURSE
The Experienced Rider Program is designed to improve riding skills and safety awareness for the experienced rider. Students must have a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement, or a valid motorcycle learner’s permit. The student should be an experienced rider with a minimum of six months and 1000 miles experience on the motorcycle he/she will be using in the course. A street legal motorcycle is required with proof of ownership and must pass a pre-ride inspection by the instructor. Includes classroom instruction, riding and street skills. Classes are offered throughout the year on a certified training range and sponsored by Martin County Community Education.
Class Dates: Call for Dates One Day 8 hour course
Class Times: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (class times may vary)
Cost: $110 per driver Tandem Rider – $15
